Join Ride With Alliance Dispatch as an ambulatory AMT driver serving patients across the south suburbs of Chicago. You'll operate a sedan or SUV, set your own schedule, and help riders get to the medical appointments and care destinations that matter most.
Job Overview
Ride With Alliance is hiring Ambulatory RWA Drivers based at our headquarters in Olympia Fields, IL, to serve patients across the south suburbs of Chicago. You will transport patients who can walk independently or with minimal assistance to medical appointments, dialysis sessions, therapy visits, and other healthcare destinations.
Ambulatory drivers operate a sedan or SUV and provide curb-to-curb, door-to-door, or hand-to-hand service depending on each patient’s mobility level. This role is ideal for compassionate, reliable drivers who want flexible scheduling and meaningful work helping people access the care they need.
Olympia Fields is Ride With Alliance’s home base. Drivers based here benefit from strong trip density in nearby communities including Flossmoor, Homewood, Matteson, Richton Park, Park Forest, and beyond.

What You'll Do

Safely transport ambulatory patients to medical appointments, hospitals, clinics, dialysis centers, and pharmacies across the south suburbs of Chicago

Arrive on time for every scheduled pickup for AMT riders, a late driver can mean a missed medical appointment

Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, family caregivers, facility staff, and the RWA dispatch team throughout every trip

Assist passengers boarding and exiting the vehicle—patiently and safely, every single trip, regardless of how long it takes

Maintain a clean, smoke-free, well-maintained vehicle that meets RWA standards at all times

Complete accurate trip documentation through the RWA dispatch system, including pickup and drop-off times, mileage, and any relevant passenger notes

Drive defensively and follow all traffic laws at all times as patient safety is the top priority on every trip, without exception

Provide door-to-door assistance for patients who need help from their front door to the vehicle, and from the vehicle all the way into their destination
What You'll Need

Valid Illinois driver’s license (Class D or higher) with a clean driving record

Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) — no DUI/DWI in the past 7 years, no reckless driving in the past 3 years

Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening before your first trip

Minimum age 21, with at least 3 years of licensed driving experience
5
Reliable personal 4-door sedan or SUV (model year 2015 or newer), or qualify to operate a company vehicle
6
Smartphone with an active data plan for accessing the RWA dispatch system and trip coordination tools
7
CPR/First Aid certification preferred (training available at no cost through RWA)
8
Professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs when assisting with mobility aids or passenger support
